People ‘Get’ Security

Here’s a story about a hijacking of a French airliner. The pilot quickly cataloged his assets, advantages, risks, and formed a strategy which was executed by the crew and passengers:

“The pilot and his colleagues decided to abruptly apply the brakes
on landing to throw off-balance the hijacker, who was hurled to
the floor … flight attendants threw boiling water in his face and
about 10 people jumped on him.”

A good story to remember next time you hear the assertion that ordinary people don’t understand security.
