Sun Re-commits to GPL3 and Patent Indemnity

I keep getting hounded by folks insisting that Sun has backed away from its GPL3 aspirations, and/or alternately that Sun plans to sneak a bunch of patent licenses into Linux.

So, this blog entry largely exists so that I can look it up quickly next time and send them this link. The money quote:

we love where the FSF's GPL3 is headed. For a variety of mechanical reasons, GPL2 is harder for us with OpenSolaris - but not impossible, or even out of the question. This has nothing to do with being afraid of the community (if it was, we wouldn't be so interested in seeing ZFS everywhere, including Linux, with full patent indemnity)
